66p Superdraw

Magpas Air Ambulance run a £4.34 per month Direct Debit weekly lottery, with an option to round the payment up to £5. This format follows a ‘Keep The Change’ style model and the extra 66p pays for a Superdraw ticket, which is drawn once per year.

Maximising on the opportunity

Magpas saw an opportunity to raise extra income by selling single tickets for their 66p Superdraw. They were looking for a supplier to fulfil the campaign and provide sales data in a format they could import into one combined draw with the 66p Superdraw tickets sold to their lottery players.

Magpas goals included:

  • Maximising sales to bolster income for their cause
  • Encouraging player participation
  • Creating a smooth and easy-to-use system for players to enter their Superdraw
  • Receiving bespoke reports to keep track of their unique draw

Our solution

We deployed our Raffles system to base the campaign fulfilment around and made bespoke changes to meet Magpas’ requirements.

We created custom output reporting so that the single ticket sales could be imported into their Superdraw.

We were also working with a ticketless entry format, whereby the player could choose their number of entries from a list of options.

Magpas used our reporting dashboard to immediately access sales data and track the progress of their campaign.

Our player-facing microsite went down very well with supporters and Magpas were able to bolster their ticket sales via postal response with online ticket sales, and digitally market the Superdraw.

Our raffles team also became well-versed in their 66p times tables!
