NWAA have a really successful lottery built up over many years of hard work and investment in door-to-door fundraising. But as the landscape changes and the traditional channels become harder to manage and less cost-effective, charities are apportioning more of their lottery budget to retention and digital recruitment. NWAA were spending a disproportionate amount of time working ‘in’ the lottery, managing it, processing payments, handling player queries and not enough of their time working ‘on’ the lottery’s strategy and development.
