Giving through charitable gaming

Sterling collabs with GOSH Charity on CIOF speaker session

As regular exhibitors at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Convention, we were thrilled to participate in this year’s convention, particularly with our speaker session on the Public Fundraising & Mass Engagement track. This year, we had the honour of delivering our session alongside Abena Bentum, the Head of Committed Giving for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

Our session focused on the launch, growth, and future of GOSH Charity’s lottery. We explored the charity’s strategic mindset and highlighted the innovative approaches we were able to provide as their supplier. These combined efforts have significantly grown GOSH Charity’s lottery, boasting an impressive 80,000 weekly entries. We were also able to offer delegates the chance to ask Phil and Abena questions to further gain actionable insights to enhance their own gaming programmes.

Sterling & GOSH speaking at CIOF

"GOSH Charity’s Great Big Lottery stands as a testament to the effectiveness of charitable gaming in the fundraising sphere. It exemplifies how a well-executed lottery can become a robust fundraising method, directly contributing to the cause it supports. We’d like to thank the Chartered Institute of Fundraising for providing Sterling with this invaluable opportunity, and we are excited to connect with many of our existing clients and meet new faces again at next year’s convention."
